EASE OF USE WITH DISPOSABLE GLASS VIALS

The ETHOS X procedure is straightforward: samples are poured into high capacity disposable glass vials with the appropriate solvent mixture, then placed in the Weflon vessel and sealed. The unique vessel design, combined with precise temperature control, allows for simultaneous extraction of many matrices, which improves the lab’s throughput. The precise contactless temperature sensor allows complete control of the extraction cycle in all places, and the dedicated user interface displays the temperature of all samples in real time. The 100-mL glass disposable vials may hold up to 30 g of sample, allowing for lower detection limits with less solvent volume. Furthermore, memory effects common with other technologies are removed, allowing even trace analysis of difficult species like dioxins to be completed faster.

PRODUCTIVITY

Despite the development of novel extraction technologies in recent years, they have fallen short of meeting the objectives of environmental laboratories. By allowing the extraction of a high number of samples in a single workday, the ETHOS X with fastEX-24eT overcomes the productivity limits of other traditional techniques. CONSISTENCY

The vessels, when used in conjunction with the temperature sensor, allow many matrices to be processed at the same time, ensuring maximum extraction efficiency. Furthermore, the fastEX-24eT rotor’s unique design with high capacity disposable glass vials (100 mL) prevents cross contamination and memory effect, resulting in repeatable findings.

COMPLIANCE

Several official methods, such as US EPA 3546, ASTM, and other national methods, explain the use of microwave closed-vessel technology to improve the extraction efficiency of organic contaminants. The typical extraction conditions are listed in Table 1.
